My Story
A note from the Songwriter.
Just a little history
The Long Road to The Sun In My Soul.
I’ve been writing songs since 1993, accumulating a massive catalog of music over the decades. But getting those songs out into the world exactly as I heard them in my head? That turned out to be a twenty-year journey. "I realized very quickly that I was writing songs for other people to sing."
The Cellar Years (2005 - 2006)

Back in 2005, I poured everything I had into a monumental effort: writing, composing, arranging, and engineering my album, Exit Normal Street.
As a professional drummer and occasional lead singer with range limitations, laying down the rhythm section was second nature. But I also played most of the keyboards, tackled some guitar, and sang every vocal track myself, alongside incredible guest musicians and friends like Jon Abrams, Rick Cohen, and Steve Kelly.
It was painstaking. I painstakingly tracked the key musical parts in a dank, musty cellar in Nashua, NH. When the album was finally released in 2006, the reality set in. The lack of production resources was obvious, but more importantly, I wasn't happy with my own vocal performances. I hoped I could come close enough to make the vocals "tolerable," but embarrassment eventually overwhelmed me. I pulled the album from public platforms and shelved the songs entirely.
Life Behind the Glass and On the Road

Why did it take so long to fix? Simply put: life and the music business got in the way.
For years, I was touring as a drummer with various bands and artists, playing everywhere from local gigs to Nashville stages right up until 2024. Between 2011 and 2020, I also transitioned into the business side, partnering in and eventually owning recording studios across Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
I was surrounded by music, facilitating everyone else's dreams, but I still couldn't find the time or the right combination of singers to record my own music.
The Breakthrough: Writing Songs Through Hybrid Studio/A.I. Technology

As everyone in the music industry knows, the way we create music has changed dramatically. Over the last few years—and particularly through 2025 and 2026—A.I. has woven itself into the fabric of music production.
As a purist, I was initially skeptical. But as someone who genuinely loves technology and production, I started listening. I learned how professional songwriters were using these tools to build out their visions. It was the key I had been waiting for.
By embracing a hybrid workflow, I was finally able to get my songs to represent the absolute best version of what I originally intended—without the vocal compromises of 2005.
Welcome Back to Exit Normal Street

Today, the vault is officially open.
I’ve revived all eleven original Exit Normal Street tracks (including the title track) and added 6 brand-new songs, all arranged in the Soul/Pop genre that serves this music best. My ultimate goal remains to write songs for other artists to perform, but finally, these tracks sound exactly the way they were meant to in my head. If an artist/band likes what they hear and would like to release it with performance rights, these songs are crafted for artists/bands to reserve the performance rights through the normal industry registration process. BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, etc. These songs are fully copyrighted through BMI.
Welcoming “The Sun In My Soul”.

The Project at a Glance:
17 Tracks Total: Featuring my fully reimagined 11-song catalog from 2005, alongside 6 brand-new original songs. The Vibe: A relaxing, summer-invoking Soul and Pop sound. This album is the ultimate realization of a lifelong dream, and a testament to never giving up on your catalog—even if it takes twenty years and a technological revolution to get it right.
Thank you for stepping into the warmth with me.
Curious about how I actually put this together?
Instead of writing another chapter, I’ll let the video below explain exactly why and how I chose this new hybrid workflow to rebuild my music. I'll see you on the other side!
